Barkan is still there. His recent announcement elsewhere about "not being an employee of Strat-o-Matic" had to do with him posting as a representative of Strat. Which is good, because as great as he is with the research and creation of the cards, he can behave like a real a-hole. I called him on it (in the other forum) and I got banned. Oh well.

Re: Strat-O-Matic Annual 3/$25.00 set sale?
November 4, 2009 by y2daddy
Geez, maybe I should order a 2004 and stash it in my closet :)
My brother and I both had trouble with the sale- it wouldn't give me the third season for $5 and it wouldn't give him the sale prices altogether.

I would be interested in 1987. Contact me at y2daddy@juno.com to talk about it.
Anyone having trouble with the website re: the annual sale?

I wasn't able to get my third season for $5, and my brother couldn't even get the sale prices altogether. Just wondering if anyone else was having problems with the sale.

November 1st is a Sunday- how can the Negro League set come out on that day? Will it be released the previous Friday or the following Monday?

This is why Gary's Pitchers As Hitters cards are so great! From the St. Browns, 1927:
AB R H BI 2B 3B HR AVG.Milt Gaston 96 13 25 15 8 0 3 .260Lefty Stewart 49 4 15 3 1 0 0 .306Elam Vangilder 68 5 19 8 4 0 1 .279Ernie Wingard 56 6 10 12 2 1 3 .179
Their hitting cards are outstanding. Download Gary's PAH selections and see for yourselves.-seajaw
I have downloaded them, I just can't figure out how to print them out so they are Strat card size.

If the game company provided advanced pitcher's hitting cards, I might let the pitcher hit more. But even then, in a sense I'm still using a DH. Without individual pitcher's hitting cards we use a DH in every game, whether it's a pitcher's hitting card or an actual player batting.

1894. I know they have it in computer format, but I would love to see it in cards.

Absolutely put me on the list. Those are nice looking cards. Thank you.
Ever thought about some 19th century cards?
