Hi Guys,
I can't believe history has struck again in the Monster Project as the 2016 Cubs starter Kyle Hendricks tosses the 2nd NO-HITTER in the history of this project. Hendricks only allowed two runners to reach base in the game. The first one reached on a 2 out walk in the first inning and the 2nd runner reached base in the 9th inning on an error by Cubs third baseman Javier Baez. Hendricks also struck out 7 hitters along the way and he was never really in any trouble whats so ever during the game. The funny thing was there was not one double play turned during the game for either team. This NO HITTER was my first this new year however last year I had one on the every first day of the new year 2016. I'm looking forward to seeing what the new year has in store for me.

Monster Projects first NO-Hitter Game 7 of the 1986 World Series pitched by Red Sox starter Bruce Hurst.

1986 World Series Game # 7 Monster Project voted best game of the entire project.

Monster Project a Replay of Every World Series

In Major League Baseball History

1986 World Series Headlines: History has been made by Bruce Hurst the Boston Red Sox starter of game # 7. Hurst has thrown a no hitter against the 86 New York Mets to beat them 3-0 to clinch the 86 World Series for the Red Sox. Hurst was in total control of all his pitches throughout the entire game. When asked how he felt about pitching a no hitter in the 7th game of the World Series he commented. I can’t describe the feeling, well I feel like am floating on a cloud. It just hasn’t sunk in yet what has happen. When I was in the bull pen warming up before the game Rich Gedman commented to me. Your stuff is electric I have never seen you throw a bull pen session like this before. He said your fast ball has a lot of pop and movement to it. And the breaking ball was like falling off the table. I guess I just took as it was his way to get me fired up like I really needed to be. I mean come on man this is the 7th game of the World Series if you can’t get up for this then you don’t belong here. But I knew by the end of the 2nd inning that my stuff was pretty good, I just never gave any thought to pitching a no hitter. But when the 7th inning rolled around I noticed that no one was sitting around me in the dugout nor were they speaking to me. When I came out for the 9th inning I knew that I was on the verge of something very special. But when the final out was recorded you could have knocked me over with a feather. All I know is that we are the World Series Champions for this year and no one can ever take that away from us. No one can ever take this game away from me. I will take this memory to my grave.

Closing Commentary: This concludes the latest update from the 1986 World Series game # 7. I will post the series re-cap and team stats shortly. What a magical game for Bruce Hurst and his Red Sox teammates. To pitch a no hitter in game seven of the World Series is a dream of every pitcher to ever play major league baseball. The city of Boston will be partying for days over this series win and this game. You can be sure that the Red Sox faithful will be lining the streets of Boston when they have the parade. Generations of Sox fans have waited a very long time for this. And to have it happen the way it did will be something that New Englanders will be talking about for generations to come. For the fans of the New York Mets it has to be very disappointing to lose a chance to win a World Championship in the manner in which they did. In closing SOM Villagers, what a way to finish off a 7th game of a World Series then with a no-hitter with a team that I have loved for all these years.

Hi tweek,
Thanks there is nothing like a No Hitter but it's even sweeter when it's in a World Series game. That's the 2nd one from the Monster Project how sweet it is.

Hi Kline,
Thanks you know it took me from 1964 until 2010 to get my first one. So yes I have enjoyed the ones that I have gotten since then I think there is about 10 of them all total. And these two have to be my favorite along with my very first one by Red Sox pitcher Jim Lonborg of the 67 Red Sox against the 67 Senators. Thanks

Congrats. Even though against the Indians a no-hitter is a no-hitter, after all. We had our chances.
